Are parking spots guaranteed?

Customers with parking coupons are guaranteed the rate as specified on the coupon, subject to its terms and conditions. However, spots are not guaranteed and are subject to availability at the time of parking.

Is my vehicle oversized?

Below is a guide to what types of vehicles are generally considered oversized. Please note, an oversize fee is a fee charged on-site in some locations, generally for vehicles 65″ to 75″ tall and over 181″ long.

Standard-Size Vehicles include the following:

  • 2 door cars (Honda Civic)
  • 4 door cars (BMW 7-series)
  • Station Wagons

Oversized Vehicles include the following:

  • Minivans (Honda Odyssey)
  • Large SUVs (Buick Enclave, Cadillac Escalade, Dodge Durango, Ford Excursion or Expedition, GMC Denali or Yukon or Envoy, Hummer, Infinity QX, Toyota Landcruiser, etc.)
  • Pickup Trucks (Dodge Ram)

Other makes and models of similar size of the vehicles listed would also be subject to the additional oversize fees. Multi-passenger vans, cargo vans, flatbed trucks, and other large vehicles generally associated with commercial use or of similar type will not be accepted.

What is the deal with oversized vehicles?

Almost all iPark facilities charge an extra fee for oversized vehicles, typically between $5 and $30. This fee is assessed by the on-site staff and paid upon departure from the garage, unless pre-paid via online reservations.

Note that due to zoning and configuration, some facilities do not accept oversized vehicles at all. If you have any questions, please call the facility directly beforehand. Facility phone numbers are provided on reservation confirmation emails and on the website as you select a facility on the search screen.

Why isn't my normal garage showing up when I search?

If your normal garage is not showing up when you search on the website, it is likely that we do not offer parking at the facility during the times you have selected. While many of our facilities are open 24/7, some have different operating hours.

Try selecting another facility nearby or searching for different parking times. Note that the operating hours of all iPark facilities are listed on the facility preview information provided when you search for parking online.

Do I need to print out my reservation prior to my parking trip?

No! While you are welcome to bring a printed copy of your reservation with you to our facility, you are not required to do so. You can also show the attendants the reservation confirmation and coupon email or SMS received. Note that all reservations and coupons are subject to all of the terms and conditions, including start/end time and usage restrictions, as contained therein.

Do you offer electric vehicle (EV) charging?

Yes! Over 65 iPark facilities have EV chargers installed for customer use. We partnered with Tesla and Car Charging, Inc. to provide valet operated car-charging stations in a number of our locations.

Can I make a reservation for someone else?

Sure! If you want to purchase and share a reservation with someone else, simply forward them the reservation after you receive your email confirmation. Please remember that while you are welcome to purchase a parking reservation for someone else, resale of iPark reservations is prohibited.

Can I make multiple reservations?

Definitely! After you make a reservation, you can return to the search page where you can search and make as many future reservations as you’d like.

If you wish to make multiple reservations in the same week for the same garage, with the same enter and exit time, click the “Book on Multiple Days” button and select the days you wish to reserve. This option is available for the next 7 consecutive days.

You will receive individual confirmations for each reservation made and if you are a registered user and the reservation was made while logged in, your reservations will appear separately under “History” in your iPark Rewards account.

What if I have a problem?

If you are a registered user and the reservation was made while logged in, your reservation number can also be found under “History” in your iPark Rewards account.

What do the prices shown mean?

Our website sets the default search time to 30 minutes, starting at the time you make the search.

The rate listed in the yellow search bubbles reflects the price you would pay for your entire stay for that duration when either making a reservation online.

For a proper rate estimate, update your search by adjusting the dates and times and you will be able to compare the cost of parking at various iPark locations.

Please note that prices listed in the yellow search bubbles do not include additional fees for SUVs and other large vehicles.

What if I can't find my parking location?

All of our reservation confirmations and coupons include both the facility and facility entrance addresses. If you are programming the location into your GPS you should enter the facility entrance address to guide you to the garage.

If you need additional assistance, you can call the phone number listed on your reservation to speak with an on-site attendant at the facility.

Can I enter/exit multiple times with one reservation or coupon?

No. All daily parking reservations or coupons do not permit in and out privileges.

Do I have to enter and exit at the exact times on the reservation?

You can enter max. 15 minutes after the start time listed on your reservation, and you can depart at any time prior to the end time listed on your reservation. For example, if your reservation goes from 8AM to 8PM, you can enter between 8AM and 8:15AM, and must leave anytime before 8PM.

Please note that any time spent parked outside of your reservation is subject to an additional charge.

Can reservations be edited or changed?

Once a reservation has been made you can only cancel it or extend the exit time. You cannot edit other reservation details (e.g. start time, vehicle information, location). If your plans change, please cancel your reservation (available up to 2 hours prior to your reservation arrival time) and re-book a new one.

Can I extend my reservation?

We understand that plans can change quickly and allow iPark Rewards customers to extend their reservations prior to reservation exit time.

Here is how to extend your reservation if you need more time:

1. Find your reservation in your iPark Rewards account and select the “extend” button or icon.

2. If extending via the iPark app:
– Select “Change” next to your reservation exit time.
– Select the date and time you would like to extend the reservation, and then hit “Confirm.”
– Review your reservation details, including the updated times and any additional fees.
– If the extended reservation data appears correct, select “Extend Reservation” to confirm the extended reservation.

If extending via the iPark website:
– Select the date and time you would like to extend the reservation.
– Review your reservation details, including the updated times and any additional fees.
– If the extended reservation data appears correct, select “Extend Reservation” to confirm the extended reservation.

3.You should see the change reflected on your reservation in your iPark Rewards account, and will receive an email confirming your reservation has been updated.

– Reservations cannot be extended after the end/exit time.
– Booking back-to-back reservations is NOT recommended as it requires you to physically visit the lot to validate each individual reservation before it expires. If each individual reservation is not validated you may incur additional fees.

What is iPark’s cancellation policy?

All prepaid reservations are cancellable for a full refund up to 2 hours prior to the arrival time indicated on the reservation. To cancel your reservation, simply click on the “Cancel Reservation” button located at the bottom of your email or SMS confirmation. Note that no refunds will be issued for unused reservations not cancelled prior to the allowed cancellation time.

Can I transfer my reservation to a different iPark location?

Reservations cannot be transferred to different locations, because rates vary at different facilities. That said, if your reservation hasn’t started yet, you can cancel it (available up to 2 hours prior to your reservation arrival time) and book another spot at a different facility.

Can I park overnight?

Absolutely! When searching, change the dates/times to the overnight period during which you plan on parking. All garages that allow overnight parking will show up and you can book right from our website.

Do I have to reserve or save a coupon online to get this rate?

Generally, yes. Most of the online rates for our facilities represent discounts to our drive-up rates (the rates posted inside the garage). In addition, our online rates will never be higher than drive-up rates posted at facilities.

Is the facility valet or self-park?

With the exception of several facilities, nearly all iPark garages are valet locations. Once you drive up to the facility, our valet attendants will greet you and guide you through the process of leaving your car.

Are there additional fees?

The price listed is the entire price, and all taxes and fees are included in the price that you see on the app or website!

Some locations charge a separate oversize fee for vehicles that are taller than 65″ or longer than 181”. This is payable at the garage directly and is assessed on-site by the valet attendant.

Lastly, we never include tip in our reservations. We want this to be at the discretion of the customer based on your experience at the facility.

How do I adjust the times when searching?

To change the times or dates on the website, simply click into the time or date you want to change, and a drop-down menu will appear. Make your selections and then click UPDATE or GET THE RATE (depending on where you are searching from) to ensure the correct rates pop up for the times you selected!

What are the benefits of registration?

Creating an account on our website brings many benefits exclusive to registered users. These are not available to guest users. The exclusive benefits include:

  • Manage trips – View past and upcoming trips
  • Manage payment options – Save Credit Cards for quick payments
  • Accumulate and use parking points for future parking
  • Manage Vehicle – Save vehicle details
  • Get notified about promotions and deals in future

What is an oversize fee?

Since garages have limited space, extra fees are charged in order to accommodate larger vehicles. An oversize fee is a fee charged on-site in some locations, generally for vehicles 65″ to 75″ tall and over 181″ long.

Do I need to create an online account?

No. You can purchase reservations through our website as a guest each time. All we’ll need from you when you book is an email address, so we can send your reservation confirmation, and your credit card information for reservations for prepayment.

It makes it easier to see all reservations in one place and rebook multiple spots with an account, but you absolutely don’t need one.

How do I find a garage?

Enter the address, landmark, cross streets or neighborhood you’re looking to park near into our app or on the website, and press the search button. Available locations near where you’re going will populate on the search page.

Make sure you adjust the dates and times you’re looking for so that you’re reserving the correct times for the reservation.

Is the price listed for my whole stay?

Yes! As long as you have the correct times and dates in your search field, the price for the entire time you requested will show up on the search page. Unless otherwise stated, you can enter any time after the start time of a reservation and exit any time before the end time for the price of your reservation. For coupons, your stay must be within the enter/exit and duration restrictions as listed on the coupon to be eligible for the coupon price.

Can I pre-book a spot over the phone?

Unfortunately, no. All advance purchases must be made online.

How far in advance can I reserve parking?

You can reserve anywhere from minutes in advance, to 90 days in advance; you just need to purchase a reservation before you enter the garage

What amenities does the garage offer?

Our garages have a wide variety of amenities. You can find covered or uncovered parking, valet or self park, spots that provide handicap or EV charging, and more! To find the spot that best works for you, please use our filtering functions on our website when making your reservation. You can filter garages for whichever amenity you need.

How do I get an iPark promo code?

Promo codes are occasionally featured in our advertisements and sent out by our marketing team to our users. As long as you have an iPark Rewards account or are signed up for our mailing list you’ll receive our emails, including ones that contain promo codes, discounts and other savings!

Promo codes offered include dollar, percentage and other types of savings. Note that promo codes are subject to the usage restrictions listed in the advertisement.

How do I use a promo/coupon code?

Once you are on the checkout page, enter the promo code in the allocated field and press “Apply” before you finalize your reservation. The total price of the reservation should reflect the promo code.

Note, in some instances, promo codes in online ads will enable you to directly pre-populate the promotion just by clicking on the promotion. Sit back, search and save!

Can promo codes and credits be applied towards monthly parking?

No. Currently promo code discounts and credits can only be applied towards daily parking reservations.

If I am transferring to another iPark facility, can I pay my bill using the same online account and login?

Yes, you can add additional iPark accounts to your existing online account. You will need the new account number in order to sign up for online account access for your new garage. You will need to re-enter any saved payment information and activate auto-pay under the new account. Login to your existing online account and click “Add Monthly Account” or Click Here to add an account.

Will I still receive a paper invoice if I pay online?

You can choose to receive invoices via mail or email. Click Here to change your billing method.

Please note there is a $5.00 fee for paper invoicing. We highly recommend you opt for electronic billing.

When are my payments due every month?

Payments are due the first of the month. If payment is not received by the fifth day of the month, a late fee will be assessed.

How much is the late fee amount?


Can I schedule a one-time payment at a future date?

Not at this time.

What is the Manhattan Resident tax exemption?

The purpose of the Exemption Certificate is to provide proof to parking facility operators that the owner or lessee of a motor vehicle is not required to pay the additional New York City 8% Parking Tax. For those who qualify, the tax on parking services will be at a rate of 10.375%, instead of 18.375% that is imposed under State law. Any individual who fulfills ALL of the following requirements is eligible for a Parking Tax Exemption Certificate:

  • Has his or her primary residence in Manhattan;
  • Owns a motor vehicle or leases it for a term of one year or more; and
  • Registers the vehicle pursuant to the vehicle and traffic law at his or her primary Manhattan address, or, in the case of a leased vehicle that is registered pursuant to the vehicle and traffic law, leases the vehicle at such address, and does not use the vehicle for business purposes.

Customers must ensure that their tax exemption is valid and issued to iPark.

Can I cancel my monthly space online?

No. 30 days advance notice is required via email. Click Here to send notice of cancellation or you can email your account representative.

If I am on auto-pay and I cancel my space, will you automatically deactivate my account?

No. After you have given 30 days’ notice of cancellation notification to your garage manager or contacted us via email, you must log in to your online account and turn off Auto-Pay Click Here before the last business day of the last month in which you plan to park. Click Here to send notice of cancellation.

How do I turn off auto-pay?

You can turn auto-pay on or off at any time. Click Here to Manage Auto-Pay. You can also click on “Manage Auto-Pay” under “My Monthly Parking” on your online account.

What if I overpaid?

The overpaid amount will automatically be credited against future invoices.

Are there any fees associated with online accounts?


What day of the month does auto-pay deduct payments from my bank account?

You choose the date of deduction. When enrolling you will be provided with this option.  Note that actual debits happen 1 to 2 days business prior to the chosen deduction date.

Why did my account balance not change after I made my payment?

The balance updates after every billing cycle.

When will my online payment be credited to my account?

Online payments take 1-2 business days to post. Payments being processed will appear immediately on your Online Payment History page and will be reflected in your account balance the next business day.

What are the advantages of paying online?

Online payment is convenient, easy and always secure. No more checks, waiting in lines, or stamps. Avoid late fees and Account Maintenance fees by activating Auto-pay. Our Website payment processor is owned by Visa and is the industry standard for secure online processing.

What if I lost my card?

Replacement cards are issued upon request. Email us with the email associated with your account and use the subject “Lost Card” and include your name. Please include the garage where you park monthly and your monthly number in the email body and we will send you a replacement. A one-time $5 processing and activation fee will be applied for the replacement card.

I forgot to take my card to the garage but know my card number, can I still get the discount?

No, in order to receive the discount, you must have the card with you at check-out.

Can I pay by cash when I use the card?

No, the payment must be made by a credit card with the same last name as the member.

Can I use the card at any iPark garage?

You can use the card at any iPark garage with the exception of the short list of excluded facilities shown below:

When does the card expire?

When you are no longer a monthly customer at the location your card was issued for.

Can I get more than one card?

No, only one card can be issued per monthly parking space by request.

What is the Preferred Monthly Card?

The Preferred Monthly Card Club is an exclusive membership for our monthly customers which entitles them to park for 50% off the daily posted rates at over 100 iPark garages. Please note the following Terms & Conditions of the Preferred Monthly Card Program: The Preferred Monthly Card is to be used solely by the monthly applicant. The 50% discount does not apply to monthly parking rates and may not be combined with any other discount offers or coupons.  Offer does not apply to motorcycles. Your monthly account must remain active to retain your membership. iPark reserve the right at their sole discretion to alter or modify these terms and conditions, including the fees, discount benefits, and participating locations, at any time.

How do I apply to become a member of the Preferred Monthly Card Club?

Fill out the enrollment form on our website ( or call our office at 212-736-7171.

Can I merge existing online accounts?

Unfortunately, no. You can change the email address on your account to a different one, but currently accounts with different email address cannot be merged.

Do you accept prepaid cards and debit?

If the debit or prepaid card has a credit card insignia of a credit card we accept, then we can accept that card as payment. Otherwise, we do not.

How long does a refund take?

Depending on your bank or credit card company, a refund can take 5 to 7 business days to post on the account.

How do I know if my payment went through?

If your payment goes through, you’ll receive an email with your confirmation number for the reservation. For registered users making a reservation while logged into their account, you will also be able to see the reservation in your iPark Rewards account. If you haven’t received a confirmation email and you don’t see any charges on your credit card, the payment has not gone through.

How do I update my account?

You can update your email, password and saved vehicle and payment information through your account settings!

When will my account be charged?

When making a reservation, your card is charged when you press “Complete Purchase ” on the website, not when the reservation starts or ends.

When using a coupon, your card will be charged at the facility at the time of check out.

For monthly parking customers, depending on your preference and if you choose to pay by credit card, your card will be charged once on a monthly basis.

How do I update the payment method saved to my iPark Rewards account?

Customers can change their payment method under the “Billing” tab of their iPark Rewards account on the website ( or under the “Payment Method” section of the Settings section in the app.

What is the iPark Rewards Program?

It is an exclusive program for iPark customers to earn points on daily parking.

Can I earn points using Apple Pay or Google Wallet?

No, You will need to present the actual registered card for each parking transaction to earn iPark Rewards points.

How do I become a member of the iPark Rewards program?

Go to and complete the easy registration process. If you are already a registered user with iPark, please log on before making a reservation.

Is there a fee to participate in this program?

No, there are no fees or hidden costs.

How do I earn points?

You can earn points by booking parking on the iPark website. Make sure you are logged into your registered iPark Rewards account and reserve your parking online, ahead of time. Each reservation you make will earn you 1 point.

How many points do I earn from my daily parking?

You earn 1 point for every reservation you make.

Can I earn points for my monthly parking?

No, currently points are only earned for daily parking transactions. However, as a monthly customer you can get exclusive benefits from the Preferred Monthly Club.

Can I earn points on early bird rates or any other special rates?

Yes, any pre-paid daily parking made online via a registered iPark Rewards account will earn 1 point per reservation.

Can I earn points for prepaid parking from any third party sites?

No – points can only be earned when booking a prepaid reservation from

Can I earn points 365 days a year, 24 hours a day?

Yes, currently there are no blackout periods to earn points.

Can I earn points when I pay with cash?

No, you must pre-pay for parking under your registered iPark Rewards account, via the iPark website to earn points.

How do I benefit from the points I have earned?

As a iPark Rewards member you can earn 1 point for every iPark reservation made through your iPark Rewards member account. After every 10 points earned you will receive 1 free reservation up to 24-hours in length. Note: Any visit that extends beyond the first 24 hours will revert to a board rate beginning on the 25th hour.

How many points do I need for free parking?

Every time you reach 10 points, you’ll be rewarded with a free parking visit.

How do I redeem my points for free daily parking?

After 10 reservations have been made, the next reservation up to 24 hours will automatically show as free, unless it is a part of a multi-day reservation. You must be logged into your iPark Rewards account in order to redeem the free reservation.

NOTE: if the 11th reservation falls within a multi-day booking it cannot be redeemed for free, unless it is the first reservation of the multi-day booking.

I made an online reservation, why aren’t the points reflected on my account yet?

iPark Rewards points are credited to your account within 48 hours after the parking transaction has been completed.

If I used points to make an advance reservation, will I lose them if I have to cancel the reservation?

No, if your reservation is cancelled prior to the start time, the points will be credited back to your account.

Can I earn and/or redeem points at all iPark locations?

You earn or redeem points at any iPark location that accepts online reservations.

Can I save more than one credit card for the program?

No. At this time you can only save 1 credit card to your iPark Rewards account, but you can change this and pay with any credit card at checkout.

What if my credit card expired or was lost?

Log in to your iPark Rewards account to easily edit or remove credit card information.

When do my points expire?

Unused points will not expire.

I am a monthly customer. If I have a Preferred Customer Card, can I also register for the iPark Rewards program?

Yes, monthly customers can register in the iPark Rewards program and earn points on daily parking at the discounted Preferred Customer price. However, points cannot be redeemed against transactions where the 50% Preferred Customer discount is applied.

How can I delete my iPark Rewards account?

To initiate deletion of your iPark Rewards account please email  with your name and email address associated with your iPark Rewards account. Please allow for up to 5 business days for your request to be processed.
